I Love You, My Best Friend

by Ryssa Mae, Age 13 (CAN)
Your friendship is worth a thousand words,
your presence is worth my heart.
You’re one loyal person
and one beautiful art.
As we share laughs and memories,
we learn a lot of things.
We bring joy to each other
while we eradicate our fears.
Meeting you is a gift from above,
it’s full of liveliness and full of love.
We understand each other’s minds,
we have wonderful reminiscences
we can rewind.
We are together in our toughest days,
we find solutions in our best ways.
We had our fights and disagreements,
but we love each other anyway.
Many have tried to ruin us, but our
friendship is steadfast and full of trust.
I’m so lucky to have you,
I don’t need anybody else.
You’re the greatest friend I’ve ever met,
and I just want to say,
“I love you, my best friend.”
