Diary of a Wimpy Kid – Hard Luck
by Jeff Kinney
“The book’s best part is when Greg dives into a pool of sharks. He uses flippers to hit the shark’s nose, and the shark’s nose starts bleeding. I also loved the section ‘Predict your future.’ It had a lot of cool questions which I had to answer.
The illustrations are always black and white in Wimpy Kid books, but I still like them. My favourite character is Rodrick.
I rate this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5 stars as I’m not too fond of the colour of the front and back cover. I wish the front and back covers were blue and not green.” To order or learn more about the book, visit here. by Avyaan, Age 7
The Karate Mouse
by Geronimo Stilton
“This book is about a mouse who won a karate championship. He knocked the other player out. His name is Geronimo Stilton. He did a flying crescent kick and then did a backflip to knock that player out. He was really happy after winning. I love this book as I also do Martial Arts. And guess what, I can also do a flying crescent kick and a backflip!!!
Yes, I recommend this book. This book is special to me as I also do Martial Arts. The illustrations in the book are hilarious. I would love to get this added to my school library.” I rate this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of five stars. To order or learn more about the book, visit here. by Avyaan, Age 7
Miss Leakey is Freaky
by Dan Gutman
“Dan Gutman has many weird books for kids. In this book, Miss Leakey came to school pretending she was a health teacher. She told the entire school to drop all their junk food, and she put it in the dumpster. Then she made some excuses for doing some exercise.
Instead, she tricked them and went to the dumpster to eat some candies. So one day, while AJ, Ryan, Andrea, Neil, Michael, Emily and Alexia came to the dumpster, they had to lift the lid with all their might and guess who was there?
They saw Miss Leakey, and that’s how they realized she was a junky monkey and not a health nut. Miss Leaky was running so slow as she ate a lot of junk, but the kids ran super fast to tell their Principal and Vice Principal that she needed to be fired.
I rate this book ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5 stars. I took away two stars as the book is all black and white. How I wish there were some colourful pages. Also, they still needed to figure out at the end who the next health teacher would be.” To order or learn more about the book, visit here. by Avyaan, Age 7
