1. Pick an idea
Submissions are welcome from youth ages 7-12. I ask, as far as possible, to have submissions proofed by an adult and checked for grammar and spelling. Thank you for your submission, I look forward to reviewing it!
Ideas of what you could send me are:
- Short story (500 words or less; Doesn’t include any violence, fighting, not too scary, gruesome, or dark-natured. Be suitable for ages 8-12 years).
- True story of an experience you had that was meaningful or taught you a lesson (500 words or less)
- Poem (short to medium in length)
- Easy craft
- Drawing (coloured), painting, or other art
- Photo and description of your pet
- Photo and a description of a science project that you made
- Healthy snack
- Recipe (healthy in nature)
- Jokes or riddles
- Tell me about a sport you enjoy or a musical instrument you play
- Comic strip (coloured preferred)
- Or any other ideas you have!
2. Follow our guidelines
Please read this information carefully before you submit your submission:
- You’ve met the requirements described above for all submissions, especially:
– Stories: 12 years and younger, 500 words or less
– Poems: short to medium in length only
– Submission doesn’t include any violence, fighting, not too scary, gruesome, or dark-natured - Your first and last name (your last name will NOT be published).
- Age
- An email address where you can respond so we can send you a proof and the final work; A phone number in case we can’t reach you by email
- By submitting to BAZOOF!™, you are providing BAZOOF!™ with permission to publish this work.
Also, be sure to tell a parent or guardian of your plans so they can assist you!
