What is a description of the book the submissions will be a part of?

The book will resemble a children’s magazine but will also have some differences. The inside paper will have a texture so students can write on it for the games and puzzles. It will presently be 32 pages in total, plus the covers. Each book will have a theme that most of its content will follow. Feel free to offer any ideas for a theme here. Otherwise, BAZOOF!™ will be selecting a theme in order to assist in putting the layout together before presenting it to the participating schools.

Program Available in the US?

Yes! Since the beginning of the company, BAZOOF!™ has worked and continues to serve teachers, librarians, and students in both Canada and the US. If you are a teacher, school librarian, parent, or a member of a parent council, please CONTACT US to let us know of your interest in BAZOOF!™ Fundraising Program. Your reaching out helps us know where to expand the program next.

How are the writers selected to submit to the book?

To keep this a fundraising program, presently only one submission per school will be entered into the book. The Parent Council or school can determine how this is to be done, whether through a single class, a few  teachers working together, a group formed from the student body, a teacher-librarian working with her students–there are many possibilites!

How are the specific submissions chosen?

There are a few ways that the Parent Council can handle this. Upon registration into the program, a link will be provided that offers a form with all the various types of submissions that will be featured in the book. It is a first-come, first-served basis.

The Parent Council can make the selection, or those staff taking on the project are welcome to make the selection once given the nod from the Parent Council. The sooner a school can make the selection, the more options will be available to choose from.

Will credit be received by those who complete the submission for the book?

Credit for the submissions will go to the school participating in the program, rather than to the specific class or group of students. In this way, all the students in the school can feel represented as a whole, alongside other schools in the province or geographical group.

Can a teacher or librarian ask other staff for assistance?

Yes, most certainly. The more students or staff that can be involved, the better, but at the same time keep the process efficient. Both the draft and final submission will be reviewed by BAZOOF!™’s expert team for further assistance and polishing as needed.

Who would qualify for complimentary books?

Teachers and/or Librarians

Those teachers or librarians directly involved in assisting the students to put the submission together will receive five complimentary copies each.

All students directly involved in the writing will receive two complimentary copies each.

Parent Council Members

The media specialist will receive five complimentary copies. All other members of the Parent Council will receive three complimentary copies each. Any others they choose to purchase will help support the fundraiser.
