With lost classroom hours from the COVID shutdowns With lost classroom hours from the COVID shutdowns, Patrick Quinn, Parenting Expert at BRAINLY, suggests starting a neighbourhood or friends book club this summer! He offers two ways to do this: 1) Kids of similar ages can choose one book each week for everyone to read. Then they can meet to talk about it. 2) For younger kids, a parent could be involved and create a logging system so each child can keep a record of the books they’ve read. At the end of the summer, hold a pizza party for all the participants. Create homemade certificates and give out inexpensive prizes! Do you want to meet an elf? One of Santa’s helpe Do you want to meet an elf? One of Santa’s helpers, Jack, is the main character of this story that BAZOOF! will be publishing in the winter #77 issue. Jack is a hardworking elf who works day and night to create all the toys for children all over the world. Belinda (@belindabu_2021), who illustrated this cheerful, vibrant, and happy elf, learned the importance of laying out a story on a magazine page or spread. She did this by putting in mind the basic compositional and typography techniques and ticking off a magazine checklist before submitting it to the editor for the final review.
