Mr. Van!

“My name is Emma and I am turning 11 years old. This is my big dog, Van. His nicknames are Meathead and Mr. Van. He is a Blue Nose Pitbull. He weighs 90 lbs. and is really friendly and playful.

He likes living on our farm. He stays outside unless it is really cold night, and then we bring him in and he sleeps on his bed. He likes to swim in our creek and climb up a ridge near our house.

There he runs around and eats the wild flowers and long grass. I was told they are very good for his digestive system. In the winter he likes to roll in the snow and eat it. He also likes to jump on me and push me in the snow.

He really likes to go for rides in the back of our truck. When he is getting in the back, he’ll only put up his front paws. My dad or mom have to give him a boost, hahahaha! He can be really lazy.Once when I was taking him for a walk, I wanted to race him backto the house. I said to Van, “Ready, Set, Go!” and we sprinted to the house. I beat him and he was panting really hard.

My favorite things about him are that he always looks like he is smiling and his tail is always wagging.”
