True Little Stories – Practice

Practice, Practice
by Carmen Durand
“My dad always told me practice, practice, practice. I never really knew what he meant but I did as I was told. Now, I am really good at a lot of things because I worked really hard at them like my dad told me to. If you practice all the time, you get better!”
Wires Don’t Mean Robot
by Carmen Durand
“At our church the priest always wore a small mircophone, but I could only see the wires and thought he was a robot! I was afraid he was going to take over the church and I got really upset. It was a little bit embaressing when I found out that it was just a microphone. Shows you that you shouldn’t always jump to conclusions.”

Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover
by Carmen Durand
“There was a new girl at school that seemed a bit weird and no one talked to her. On a dare I got told to talk to her. So I did. She turned out to be super cool and was really good at drawing, plus she was funny! We ended up being best friends. Everyone may have thought she was weird, but I found out how cool she was.”
