Really, what is caring? What is inside us that makes us want to care or feel a way towards someone or something? Caring means a lot of things to a lot of different people. To me, caring is a necessity in life and can not be bargained by one. Caring requires presence and attention.

Honestly, if no one in our world cared about anything, then the beautiful world we live in would be horrible. No one caring would look like people not cleaning up after themselves, mistreating animals, and tossing around trash. Caring is a very simple thing that can be done by anyone or anything. By ‘anything’ I might mean how my dog cares about having Swiss cheese or cheddar cheese to eat.

If I wanted to instruct the world to care too much or not care enough, I could because we all have the power in our hands to do anything. I care about what math class I get into, and I care about the risks and dangers of everyday life.  I can also get teased that I care ‘too much’ and should simply let things slide sometimes. I really hope this short article made you think about your decisions. Will you do some schoolwork to get into better classes? Or will you play video games to spend time doing something that won’t matter in twenty years?
