My favorite time, the time is night,
The time of day, comes after light.
Things go quiet, the owls hoot,
The house is dark, to bed I scoot.
I lay in bed, the blankets warm,
My eyes are closed, my dreams now swarm.
My braid is loose, and behind my head,
I dream of stories, from books I’ve read.
I suddenly wake up, and see the moon,
It’s nearly gone, so dawn is soon.
I get out of bed, with socks on my feet,
I go to the kitchen, for something to eat.
I grab some milk, I grab some toast,
The breakfast food, I like the most.
I sit by the window, and watch the sun rise,
I nibble my toast, as night says goodbye.
